‘Children in politics: A collection of 11 inspiring, motivating and suggestive case studies on children’s engagement in governance’, shares experiences and lessons learned from Save the Children Members and country programmes along with examples from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Nepal and Plan Kenya on how to successfully engage children in governance. Common to all case studies in this report is that partnerships between local governments, civil society, and children have been formed, and the quality of the relationships has gradually improved as trust has been built and adults have recognised that children have a “great deal to contribute” in terms of problem analysis and ideas for solutions.
