Save the Children in Bangladesh working with district administration especially local government department to increase engagement of local government for promoting maternal and newborn health services from public facilities. Through USAID’s MaMoni Project- advocacy tools are using for engagement of local government institutions at district, upazila (sub-district) and union level. The advocacy works increased the participation, engagement, and supervision of local government in maternal and newborn health care services and performing mandated role and responsibilities of local government to contribute on delivery quality maternal and newborn health services from public facilities. It also worked for functioning existing community cadre and committee which has mandated link with local government for maternal and newborn health services.
