The Innovation Lab grantee, Robeson Fresh Moves initiative—a collaboration between Southern Carolina Housing (the nonprofit arm of The Housing Authority of the City of Lumberton) and UNC Health Southeastern—aimed to repurpose a donated vehicle, formerly used to provide health services, transforming it into a mobile grocery store that would accept various forms for payment, including SNAP and WIC benefits. In addition to making food more accessible, there were plans to source local food and provide nutrition education.
