This review, carried out by the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition, seeks to assess the extent to which children and young people’s mental health has been prioritised in the new commissioning landscape. To measure this, researchers have reviewed the 145 joint strategic needs assessments and 142 joint health and wellbeing strategies that were in the public domain in early 2013, from the total 151 health and wellbeing boards. Overlooked and forgotten offers support and recommendations to the health and wellbeing boards on how they can prioritise and address children and young people’s mental health.
