Save the Children Sweden

It has been eight years since Save the Children Sweden showed that children who have been exposed to serious crimes are disappointed by the adult world once again when their well-being, rights, and needs are not prioritized. Despite a law that police and attorneys process child cases within 90 days, too many children are forced to wait considerably longer. In 2016 and 2017, ever third child waited more than 90 days for a decision and sentence. This means that no significant improvement has occurred during the past eight years.

Save the Children Sweden calls on society and duty-bearers assume responsibility and ensure that children who have experienced serious crimes have their rights and needs fulfilled.
