Conducted in cooperation with China Electronic Standardization Association during the summer of 2014, this report examines the challenges related to the retention, management, and talent development of a growing segment of China’s labor market, young workers aged 16-25.
One of the key insights that emerged from the survey and research findings concerns a high degree of vulnerability and inexperience among the young workers. The study also suggests the importance of more effective hiring and orientation practice for better workplace integration. Retention and development of young workers is seen to depend on a long-term effort and strategy that includes the full spectrum of company operations.
