Save the Children in Vietnam is initiating the Sponsorship Program Goal in the existing phase, which aims to promote transformative social changes that address root causes of inequality and discrimination against children, with a specific focus on promoting gender equality, disability inclusion, social protection, and dignity & wellbeing for all.
This situation analysis supports the design of the Sponsorship Program in Vietnam from 2025-2028. It promotes transformative social changes that address the root causes of inequality and discrimination against children most impacted by inequality and discrimination across other programs. The study identifies and analyses existing and emergent disparities and discrimination against children in Vietnam, maps out those mostly affected by inequality and discrimination, and explores their root causes and factors that could be escalating in the current context. The analysis included an extensive literature review, secondary data review, stakeholder mapping, and primary data collection in 5 provinces. The report also provides recommendations for impactful interventions to address the root causes of the problems and create transformative social changes to advance child rights for children’s groups most impacted by social inequality and discrimination.
