A Research looking into Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian Child Rights

This study investigates the child rights situation of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian children in the Balkans. The project used mixed research methods.

The research process was initiated with an analysis of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and local legislation, based on data acquired through desk research, questionnaires were designed and distributed to the targeted sample. Sample for this research were parents and children from Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities. The purpose of the questionnaire was to determine whether child and parent discrimination exist.
