This document is part of the Project ”Initiatives to strengthen the National System for the Protection and Promotion of Children’s and Adolescents Rights”, coordinated by Global Infancia in cooperation with Save the Children Spain and the Board of the Castilla La Mancha Community. The project aims to support and sustain national efforts to improve child protection systems’ impact on children and to better target counter-trafficking programmes and policies. The study, which was carried out between December 2008 and March 2009 in the Paraguayan cities of Areguá, Asunción, Capiatá, Luque y Mariano Roque Alonso, focuses on children who are trafficked for commercial sexual exploitation and forced domestic service. The report provides findings of data collected from focus groups and individual interviews that included current and former child domestic workers, community organization members, Municipal Advisory Councils that work with children and adolescents (CODENI), and other relevant child protection actors.
