The study is designed to help identify current online safety resources, surface stakeholder ideas about children’s online safety, and capture young people’s own experiences and perceptions of safety online. Outcomes will inform Save the Children Australia and other stakeholders and decision-makers to design, create, and apply online safety policies and services that are more relevant, engaging, and sustainable for children and young people in PNG. It has a focus on school settings exploring the risks and opportunities of social media and online platforms for children and young people in PNG.
