Save the Children MENAEE (Middle East, North Africa, and Eastern Europe) is dedicated to improving the lives of children across a region marked by significant humanitarian and development challenges.

With a presence in 16 countries in the MENAEE region, this region faces unique socio-political contexts, ongoing conflicts, and economic instability that impact children’s well-being. Save the Children’s mission in MENAEE focuses on addressing urgent humanitarian needs, fostering long-term resilience, and supporting sustainable development in areas affected by protracted crises and fragile states.
In 2022, Save the Children reached 118 million children globally with life-saving interventions, including 16.3 million in humanitarian emergencies. Our work is guided by the legacy of Eglantyne Jebb, who drafted the UN Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1923 and continues to prioritize children’s rights by ensuring they receive education, safety, healthcare, and nutrition.
