Literacy Boost TPD is now available in the Enabling Teachers’ Common Approach format to make integration of the two Common Approaches easier!
LB TPD 3.0 includes other key updates including additional content on lesson planning for literacy, assessment informed instruction for literacy, guidance for creating an LB TPD MEAL Plan, guidance on supporting coaches in LB programs, and more!

- LB 3.0 Teacher Competencies Guidance:
- LB 3.0 Teacher Competencies Guide – Includes guidance on how to select, adapt, and contextualize the competencies for the LB 3.0 TPD intervention.
- LB 3.0 Teacher Competencies List (excel spreadsheet) – Includes a list of teacher competencies covered in the LB TPD activities as well as suggested competencies that are covered in other training materials
- 11 competencies that are directly addressed in the LB Modules
- Other suggested competencies that serve as pre-requisites or supplementary to the LB Competencies (+ links to modules that could be added for this purpose)
- LB 3.0 TPD Modules – Includes expert-led session facilitator guides, training handouts, coaching classroom observation tool, self-directed learning activities, and (semi-structured) peer learning circles guidance for each module. All are based on activities in the LB Compendium of Activities.
- Module 0: SNAP modules are considered a pre-requisite to LB modules (Check the Inclusive Education page on OneNet for the latest version of the SNAP TPD guidance)

- LB 3.0 Activity Compendium – Includes a collection of literacy-related instructional activities, formative assessment techniques, and space to add classroom routines that teachers can use to integrate research-based literacy methodology within their classrooms.
- LB 3.0 Coach Training – Provides coaches with an overview of the coach’s responsibilities, tools, and practices.
- Based on two key competencies for coaches
- 1-2 days (two 4 hr sessions) expert led training for coaches + self-directed learning activities + PLCs for coaches
- Assumes they will attend the ToT on LB, so does not focus on literacy content (focuses on how to be a good coach)
- LB 3.0 TPD M&E Toolkit – Includes an indicator list, tool list, research questions, and sample tools.
- Intended to be embedded in a future LB MEAL Pack
- Includes a list of tools that teams could adapt for contextual analysis, monitoring and evaluation of LB TPD programs
- Proposes to use an adapted version of the WB TEACH classroom observation tool, with added literacy component, but these would need to be psychometrically/etc. tested with Research colleagues to ensure their validity/reliability
- Also includes links to global indicators related to LB/TPD and suggests initial learning agenda questions for future research
- Teams should choose the FEWEST number of monitoring/evaluation tools needed to improve programming
