Save the Children Sweden
Save the Children Sweden in East and Central Africa has commissioned three country studies on the existing child protection structures and mechanisms in the region. Save the Children recognizes the important role of the communities in ensuring that children are protected from violence and abuse at all levels and that they bring in a rights perspective into their work. The objective of the study was to use views of children to assess the strengths and gaps in existing child protection systems at community level targeting selected areas of Ethiopia, North Sudan and Rwanda. This report is a synthesis of the three country studies and compares and contrasts the results of the research.
