This publication seeks to understand the profile and motivation of Mexican children and adolescents who have been repatriated to Mexico for not having proper documentation while attempting to cross the United States border. The children are exposed to great risks, such as trafficking, labour and/or sexual exploitation and other emergency situations that hurt a child’s dignity, integrity and personal security. This study aims not only to increase understanding and explore the child migration phenomenon in northern Mexico, but seeks to become a voice for the boys, girls and adolescents being apprehended and repatriated by the US immigration authorities for illegal border crossing.
