Two decades of armed conflict has caused immense damage to Somalia’s infrastructure and led to mass displacement and suffering among the population. Health and nutrition indicators in the country are some of the worst in the world, as the complex context hampers the access to health services and facilities. Throughout the conflict, however, a number of humanitarian organizations has been providing health services to women and girls.

This study aims to better understand the humanitarian health response for women and children in Somalia since 2000, and especially what services were planned and prioritized.
