This is the second booklet in a toolkit comprised of 6 booklets. The toolkit provides a conceptual framework for measuring children’s participation, together with guidance on how to undertake monitoring and evaluation and practical tools that can help you gather the information you need. It can be used by organizations working directly with children, by child- and youth-led organizations, and by governments that are committed to fulfilling their obligations to respect children’s right to participate. Booklet 2 is comprised of three areas: the description of 25 indicators covering the categories of protecting the right to participate, promoting awareness of the right to participate, and creating spaces for participation; tables are given for each category to help you assess the current situation in your country; the final section of the booklet discusses what you need to know about collecting data in order to monitor and evaluate participation activities.
