2011 South Sudan has been scarred by conflict for more than 40 years. After a brutal war, the government of the Republic of South Sudan must address the key challenges facing children. The single best investment in South Sudan’s future is to address the development needs of the country’s children. This report is based on data and experience from Save the Children’s direct programming, as well as research conducted in Juba and London. It sets out recommendations for building a viable future for the country’s children, around three key areas: peace and security, governance, and human development.
