The “Situation Analysis of violence and physical and humiliating punishment of children in Vietnam” database was implemented by the Institute of Social and Medical Studies in collaboration with Save the Children Vietnam in 2016, with financial support from Save the Children International under the project “Strengthening the Capacity of Civil Society Organizations on Child Rights Governance”. The database aims to provide evidence on violence against children and physical and humiliating punishment (PHP) of children in Vietnam. Although data that vividly reflects the real situation in Vietnam is insufficient, the database is expected to provide some evidence on the current situation of violence against and physical and humiliating punishment of children in Vietnam. The database can be useful for legislation makers, policy makers, practitioners, activists, social workers, researchers and the whole society in protecting children and eliminating violence and physical and humiliating punishment of children.
