The 28th session of the Human Rights Council (HRC) concluded at the end of March 2015. The Council dedicated one day to the rights of the child; the theme for the year being “Better Investment in the Rights of the Child”, which resulted in the following UN Resolution being adopted.

The Resolution was strongly supported with 78 co-sponsors. It encourages states to continue to promote and protect human rights, including the rights of the child. In pursuit of that goal, the Resolution encourages and requests states to actively mobilize resources, i.e. invest in children. That process, from collecting to allocating funds, should remain transparent and actively involve participation from children and other stakeholders.
