This peer-reviewed journal article presents findings of a qualitative study conducted in Madagascar to explore the factors that shape use of health services by first-time (young) parents (ages 15-24). The research used a holistic approach to identify factors influencing use of antenatal care, delivery, postnatal, and family planning services at the individual, couple, family, community, and health system levels.
