“New Horizons” is a skill development and employment generation program initiated by Save the Children in Kolkata, in 2008. The program aims to break the vicious cycle of poverty across generations by developing economically viable life and technical skills amongst adolescents and youth more likely to fall into poverty, who are vulnerable to, or victims of, get married early Facility Management in urban areas. In rural, we empower the unemployed marginalized youths and poverty driven families through income linkages by developing group entrepreneurship model with vocational skills training on Tailoring, Nursery, puffed rice making and Poultry Farming. Timely and key decisions during adolescence and youth provides a unique opportunity to stop the cycle of poverty from being passed to the next generation.
