National Child Participation Framework: Child friendly version

This is the child-friendly version of the ‘National Child Participation Framework’ that was developed to promote the meaningful participation of children in South Africa.

This format can be used to enable children from as young as 3 years old to youth of 18 years old to better understand their participation. It includes spaces for drawings and activities and explains why it is important that children participate in discussions and decision-making. It also highlights areas in society where children can participate and strategies to encourage this. This version of the framework includes a glossary that provides explanations of concepts and terms.
