A Mixed‐Methods Evaluation of Stakeholder Perspectives on Pediatric Pneumonia in Nigeria: Priorities, challenges, and champions
Interventions to reduce pneumonia mortality exist in Nigeria; however, stakeholder engagement is needed to prioritize these. This study explores diverse stakeholder opinions on current policy challenges and priorities for pediatric pneumonia in the country.
Through a mixed-methods methodology, the study found that stakeholders are concerned with prioritizing community and primary care initiatives, alongside a need for improved access to oxygen, and pulse oximetry. It also identified a need for clear pneumonia policies, and support for adoption at a state level.
This study was funded by Save the Children through the GSK Partnership.
