Migration and Youth: Challenges and opportunities

This report focuses on youth, persons aged 15-24 years, in the context of migration. It is a summary document of the full Global Migration Group (GMG) report resulting from a New York symposium on 17-18 March 2011.

Chapter summaries are provided, each focusing on one aspect of migration from the perspective of youth: human rights, social protection, gender, employment, education and health.

The report ends with key messages and recommendations. The key messages provide a summary overview of the main issues and challenges that were identified in each chapter of the report. The recommendations suggest a comprehensive policy agenda to address youth migration.
