Research brief published by the Interagency Learning Initiative on Community-Based Child Protection Mechanisms and Child Protection Systems. It presents an overview of the findings  of an action research carried out in 2012 in two urban slums in Mombasa, Kenya (Bangladesh and Tudor Moroto). The research used participatory methods to identify dangers for children living in these slums. It also identified the types of community-led responses used to protect the children and how they link to the Kenyan national child protection system.

More reports on the research are available through the link provided under “Related documents”, bottom right corner of this page.
