Gender Analysis of Save the Children Norway’s Education Programme

Gender is central to Save the Children Norway’s mission and vision - it is inextricably linked to a child rights approach and essential for high-quality programming. In 2016, SCN commissioned a gender analysis of its education portfolio in order to establish a baseline on gender. The analysis uses Save the Children’s Gender Equality Marker (GEM) to help determine whether gender equality considerations have been meaningfully integrated into project proposals.
