This real-time assessment reviews the implementation of two projects financed through Save the Children Sweden and implemented by Save the Children in Myanmar: “Fulfilling Children’s Rights through Civil Society Strengthening” funded by SIDA and “Children, Community, Civil Society: Reducing Children’s Vulnerability to Exploitation, Abuse, Violence and Neglect” funded by the Ikea Foundation.

The projects are still under implementation and the assessment takes stock of their main strengths and challenges in contributing to the realization of children’s rights in Myanmar. The objective of a review before the projects are complete is to draw early lessons in order to develop a proposal for the next phase of engagement of Save the Children Sweden with the Child Rights Governance programme in Myanmar.

Over 90 children were able to participate and provide their views on the two projects. These have significantly informed the present review.
