The realization of young people's sexual and reproductive rights does not only require youth and adolescents to be aware of their rights, but that duty bearers are educated on these rights as well. Duty bearers--such as health workers, educators, and policy-makers--play an important role as allies in the practice and implementation of young people's sexual rights. This guide addresses the critical opportunities to implement young people’s sexual rights in a global context and provides specific guidance for policy makers, health providers, and educators.

The guide is divided into three parts:

1) The first part provides a comprehensive understanding of youth's sexuality, with an emphasis on capacity, empowerment, and youth participation;

2) The second part focuses on critical opportunities for the implementation of young people's sexual rights in five areas (Freedom of Sexual Expression, Sexual and Reproductive Health Services, Comprehensive Sexual Education, Protection from Sexual Violence, and Remedies and Redress);

3) The third part is a case-by-case decision-making model for service providers & programmers to support the implementation of young people’s sexual rights.
