Supplementary report to India’s periodic country report on the implementation of the UN Convention
on the Rights of the Child. This is the second alternative report from the Centre for Organisation Research and Education (CORE) to the Committee on the Rights of the Child in respect of the monitoring and reporting obligations of the Government of India. This report has been submitted also to the Committee on the Rights of the Child in a modified form for consideration at the General Discussion Day 19 September 2003. The report focuses on the indigenous child of the North east region of India and the issues relating to their survival, protection, development and participation, which need to be addressed by all sectors of society.
