Development, Rights and Justice for the World’s Poorest Children

Save the Children highlights some important areas where new thinking and new approaches are necessary on the part of the Department for International Development (DFID) and the UK government.
In each of these areas, some specific policy recommendations are put forward.
Focus has been given on issues where Save the Children is doing programming or carrying out policy research and advocacy.
The organisation’s top priority is newborn and child survival and the reduction of under-five mortality focusing on the areas of health, nutrition, social protection and related issues.
