The Child Rights Governance Programme in Save the Children Sweden’s Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa implemented the activities of the Manara Network: A Civil Society for Child’s Rights in the Middle East and North Africa Region (MENA region). One of the key components of the project is the country profile aimed at filling the existing voids in knowledge and allowing a greater understanding of the status of the implementation of the CRC both at the national and regional levels. The formulation of the Country Profiles also allows for a comparative analysis of the countries in the MENA region and the enhanced knowledge of the state of children’s rights in the countries involved.
This Country Profile on Algeria seeks to analyze and determine to which extent the country has adhered to the CRC, drawing attention to progress that has been made, good practices, and remaining challenges.
This project was made possible thanks to the funding of the Swedish International Development Agency.
