Case Study. Enriching childhood for a small girl in Georgia

Children with disabilities are often stigmatized in their communities — sometimes even by their own families. Save the Children in Georgia has been working tirelessly on behalf of children with disabilities. Many have now benefited from individual education plans and specially trained teachers. This Case Study captures the heartbreaking experience of Gvantsa, a 4-year old Georgian girl and how she gradually learnt self-care skills to gain independence and communication.
