Inequality in developing countries is twice as high among children as among the general population, as this report reveals, with new quantitative analysis of 32 countries. Born Equal assesses the effects of inequality on child development. Drawing on eight case studies from Brazil, Canada, China, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Nigeria and the UK, it looks at which policies and interventions have reduced inequality and delivered better outcomes for children. The report concludes with four recommendations to seize the major opportunity presented by the year 2015, when a new global development framework will be established. Born Equal calls on the international community to place inequality front and centre
