Annually child helplines receive 11.3 million calls from children and youth needing care and protection. The report provides recommendations on the start-up and scale-up of child helpline in Colombia. This report is compiled by Child Helpline International (CHI) and Colombia’s helpline. It recommends that a 3-4 digit, toll free, national helpline be accessible to all children, particularly those marginalised and disadvantaged. It describes the current status of the helpline and opportunities for collaboration with NGOs and the government to scale up the helpline’s activities to reach out to more children.
