A comprehensive inter-agency review was launched in May 2007 to analyse the functionality and coordination of Child Protection Committees (CPCs) across the Acholi, Lango, and Teso regions of Uganda. The motivation for the assessment was to optimize district experiences, document best practices and lessons learnt, and develop a harmonized and standardized CPC scheme for Uganda. The assessment’s key findings and recommendations will help develop a common strategy that provides effective guidance, capacity-building and standardized tools that can be applied and implemeneted across all districts.
