Vanuatu First 1,000 Days Project: Barrier Analysis Report

Save the Children in Vanuatu is implementing the First 1,000 Days project, which aims to reduce stunting among children under five by improving maternal and child health and nutrition practices in 33 communities across Shefa, Sanma, and Penama Provinces. This report describes findings from a Barrier Analysis study, which explored barriers and enabling factors influencing three key behaviors: feeding a child at least two servings of fruits and vegetables each day, continuing to breastfeed a child after 1 year, and hand washing with soap at critical times.
