This study examines the roots of violence in Lebanese society by following the lives of three different groups of children: Lebanese children, documented children of migrants, and undocumented children of migrants. The objective is to shed light on the different experiences of violence among the three groups. A child’s legal status, according to the findings of this study, does provide him or her with protection, and it is the duty of both society and government to extend this protection to all children.
In-depth studies of both parental disciplinary approaches in Lebanon and child protection risks in migrant populations in Lebanon are uncommon. While shedding light on both topics, this research aims to build a comprehensive understanding of the obstacles that inhibit children in Lebanon from fulfilling their rights.
