The first study of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, it explores masculinities and gender equality through qualitative and quantitative exploration of men:
…as sons and husbands and fathers, at home and at work, in public and private life – to better understand how they see their positions as men, and their attitudes and actions toward gender equality.
The project also provides women’s perspectives on the same issues. The four countries of the first phase of the reporting project show a unique perspective, each representing a different political, economic, and social context on each of the different focus points of the report. From gendered health vulnerabilities to Fatherhood, the study meticulously breaks down and examines these areas and their impact in a variety of spheres in daily life. The study is structured around the four countries where the survey took place: Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, and Palestine.
