Child Soldiers International
Carried out by Child Soldiers International, this report provides an assessment of recent practices of recruitment by the Myanmar army: practices of age verification and recruitment measures designed to prevent underage recruitment. It identifies gaps in these measures and failures to implement them, which has resulted in widespread recruitment and use of children by the state and armed groups.
Recommendations are offered to the Myanmar government and the Myanmar army. Recommendations are also given to the UN Country Task Force on Monitoring and Report and to the UN Security Council and the international community.
