This publication focuses on the demographics of unaccompanied children who have arrived in the United States from Latin America. Overwhelmingly, the children are coming from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. The average age has decreased from 17 in 2011 to 16 in the beginning of 2014.
A range of other demographics, such as gender, are also explored and presented in this publication.
