Human Rights Watch

Supplementary report to Uganda’s 2nd periodic report on the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, submitted by Human Rights Watch in May 2005. This submission is based on Human Rights Watch investigations in Uganda by the Children’s Rights Division and the HIV/AIDS and Human Rights Program, as well as other information collected by the organisation in subsequent visits. The report gives specific emphasis to: children within the context of HIV/AIDS; the right to education for children affected by crisis; and issues relating to child soldiers and children associated with fighting forces.
