This document is a child-friendly adaptation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) General Comment No. 20 (2016) on the implementation of the rights of the child during adolescence. General Comment No. 20 by the Committee on the Rights of the Child addresses the gap that adolescents face in having their rights fulfilled, seeing the lack of recognition to respect, promote, and fulfill their rights by State Parties. The child-friendly version of the General Comment No.20 provides an introduction of what the UNCRC is, and the role of the Committee on the rights of the Child, and what the UNCRC General Comment is. The tool further gives an illustration of who adolescents are, what their rights are, and how to uphold the rights of adolescents base on the content of the UNCRC General Comment No.20.
