Since the World Humanitarian Summit, the localisation agenda has become a priority issue within the sector. While the agenda is valid, the current discourse driving the agenda forward fails to make a distinction between contexts and ignores the challenges faced by local actors in conflict contexts.
This paper outlines MSF’s reservations about the blanket endorsement of the agenda, from both the conceptual and practical point of view.
