Although Indonesia is the largest economy in Southeast Asia, the rates of stunting and malnutrition within the country remain high and child development outcomes are poor. The Better Investment for Stunting Alleviation (BISA), is a five-year integrated nutrition programme implemented jointly by Nutrition International and Save the Children. BISA aims to reduce stunting by improving the nutritional status of adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating women, women of reproductive age, and children under the age of two across two provinces, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) and West Java. BISA is including a people-driving Social Behavior Change (SBC) design process that emphasizes the need for local solutions where engaging local people and their ideas and inputs on needed changes creates a sustainable behavior change.

This study brief provides information about the People-Driven SBC design in the BISA project.
