At the time of writing, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is considered to be undergoing one of the world’s most complex and protracted crises, with multiple armed conflicts and outbreaks of Ebola in certain areas. The Congolese authorities has very limited capacity to deliver public goods and services, and non-state actors are playing a major role in the provision of basic services, including education.

Aiming to improve our understanding of education for children affected by crises, this study examines the provision of education in the context of the DRC.
