Interest among governments and international development partners has grown in recent years to explore better ways of using administrative data to monitor and report on violence against children. Administrative data can often be readily accessed and used to complement large-scale surveys and are an important source of information.
Sources of administrative data on violence against children from a selection of countries, as well as their strengths and weaknesses are described in this publication. The aim of this report is to highlight existing practices and resources to provide suggestions on how to improve administrative data related to violence against children.
