Only a fraction of the children who come from economically vulnerable households in Sweden receive the support and assistance they require from regional and municipal authorities. The actual number of children attending support groups has decreased somewhat since 2006, the year Save the Children Sweden first conducted a survey on this topic. This publication compiles the results of the mapping carried out at local level of children who live in a situation of vulnerability, i.e. children whose parents suffer from addiction or mental illness, parents who mistreat their children, parents going through a divorce, and children who have been sexually abused or have lost a parent.
