This report provides an overview of four of its Sport & Development pilot projects that examine the use of sport as a tool for reaching development and humanitarian objectives. This report aims to uncover the development potential of sport in three post-conflict projects and one post-disaster project, each with varied aims and objectives, ranging from psychosocial rehabilitation to inter-ethnic dialogue, to non-formal education. The selected projects take place in different geographical locations and in highly diverse social and cultural contexts: in Iran, in Lebanon, in Sri Lanka and in Nepal. The overall trends drawn from the experience of SAD provide a useful starting point for future projects in the area of Sport & Development.
