This document summarises War Child UK’s recommendations for the Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) report for the General Assembly.
Information contained was gathered from country teams in South Sudan and Iraq and comprises feedback from staff interviews and focus group discussions with children in our country programmes. Consultations were conducted in February and March 2019.
Feedback is organised into points on specific questions related to related to child protection issues. Themes presented were common to both countries and various sites unless otherwise specified. We conclude with summary recommendations for the Rapporteur’s consideration.
