More than 15 thousand people were deprived primary health care services especially Maternal and Newborn Health services at Charhariampur community of Faridpur district in Bangladesh. Isolation by river and lack of transportation most of the mothers have no services during pregnancy and getting facility delivery. Beside these mothers and newborn have no option to get referral services if any emergency complication management services supposed to essential from district or subdistrict level health facility.
Save the Children through USAID’s MaMoni Project set up health facility service Centre especially Normal Delivery Centre at the complex of Union Parishad (Village level local government institution) coordination with Health and Family planning department.
The joint efforts have established a delivery Centre at the hard-to-reach union from which ANC, PNC, normal delivery, family planning and general treatment are providing from October 2020 and as of September 2021 from the Centre total 985 ANC, 196 PNC, 60 normal delivery 118 PPFP and 1692 general treatment have been provided.
